It all started in a small bedroom in Toledo, Ohio. The room was packed with game consoles, half-built PCs, and a curiosity that kept me awake long after everyone else had gone to bed. That bedroom was more than just a place to play games; it was where my interest in technology first took off. My name is Sean Paul Trottier. Before I began my professional IT career, I was the kid who took things apart, sometimes without much success, just to see how they worked.

But my passion for technology faced its share of challenges.

When I first became interested in technology, I didn’t have the latest equipment or the best tools. Most of what I learned came from trial and error. I burned out old components, fixed systems that probably should have been thrown away, and taught myself using bits of information I found online. Every mistake taught me something new, and every challenge was a puzzle I was determined to solve.

As I got older, my interest in technology changed. Video games got me started, but it was the logic, structure, and problem-solving behind them that really interested me. Turning that passion into a career wasn’t easy. I had to balance school, work, and studying for certifications, which meant many late nights and early mornings. Sometimes I wondered if I was learning quickly enough. Still, each certification and new skill felt like a small win for sticking with it.
